"The Place Called There" (Psalm 27:5) For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.
Ann Nesby sings a song called, "I Found A Place" that declares: "I found a place where the devil can't find me, I found a place where he just can't get in!" The lyrics speak to being surrounded by a blood hedge of protection from the hand of the enemy, both within and without. In this intrinsic battle between light and darkness, all of God's children had better have access to the secret place that prevents destruction from weapons that indeed form against us. We can't afford to misundersand the importancy of divine purposse, protection, and provision.
Too often we mistake the "Place Called There" to be a positon of greater economic status, an accumulation of greater material gain, a conglomerate of social staus, or a matriculation through the academic institutions. Can I tell you that the GREATEST, most powerful, life-sustaining place to be is in the will of God. If we find ourselves strategically seeking 1st the kingdom of God and His righteousness, all other things will be added. In the time of trouble, no sane person is staring at degrees on the wall. In the time of brokenness and death, no sane person is asking to see their banking statements. The child of God is seeking promised protection from a loving Father. Selah.
Thank You Lord for covering me with a smokescreen that the enemy cannot see through. Thank You for his door of access being firmly locked, the key in the hand of Christ. Amen.
