“The Beauty of Replication” (Luke 6: 39-41) Students are not greater than their teacher. But the student who is fully trained will become like the teacher.
"The Beauty of Replication"
Today I had an awesome experience with a God-assigned “Mentee” who blew my mind with the creative genius that flowed from her spirit and mouth. I was reminded that every teacher must humbly remain TEACHABLE for there is always some truth, some revelation to be gathered from someone else’s sight. And what a joy and testament for it to come from the one to whom you, the “Teacher” perhaps taught it! This is the essence of true spiritual mentorship.
Then Jesus gave the following illustration: “Can one blind person lead another? Won’t they both fall into a ditch?” There are periodic times when we need another pair of eyes and ears to assist with discernment, direction, and our destination. We need cease from following men who simply are not able to help us farther than their assignment has ordained. On this Jesus filled journey it may very well be that the blessing springs forth from the fully trained student. Selah.
