"I Believe I'll Press." (Mark 3:9) And He told His disciples to have a little boat in [constant] readiness for Him because of the crowd, lest they press hard upon Him and crush Him.
Til I become what He wants me to be, I've got to press! Everyday has its own set of positive and perhaps negatives. I consciously decide to press in towards all that is pure, lovely, and holy. The interesting thing however is that pressing in requires a pressing THROUGH! We live in natural bodies that do not gravitate towards supernatural propensities. When it comes to prayer and study, we must press through our flesh. When it comes to prayer and fasting we must press through our flesh. When it comes to prayerfully following the leading of the Spirit, we must press through our flesh. When it comes to seeking Jesus we definately must be like the crowds and press hard upon Him that we may know the perfect will of God concerning our lives. Pressing is good because it can make the express difference between Point A called life and Point B called death. I believe I'll press.
Savior I stand before You with arms outstretched and a heart wide open. When I don't really feel like pressing, thank You for propelling me to press all the more. Amen.
