“When I Open My Mouth.” (Mark 11: 24) Therefore I SAY to you, WHATEVER things you ASK when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
“When I Open My Mouth.”
If asked the time right now, what would your response be? In the natural realm it’s now 5:46 pm but in the spiritual realm it’s HIGH TIME for the people of God to take control, take authority, & take back everything that has been taken by Satan & even our very own selves. It’s time beloved to open your mouth and call the harvest in from the fields. We’ve been silent when we should have been speaking God’s word over our every situation. We’ve allowed the systems of this world, learned behavior & our emotions to hold us down & have us behind schedule in life… but NO MORE!
There are many different reasons that a person may open their mouth, but the most common reasons are to eat, to drink, & to speak. “SPEAK” is a verb, an ACTION verb that refers to the act of expressing thoughts, opinions, or feelings orally in order to be… heard. What we speak also has a great impact on both the hearer & the speaker. The Speaker is you & the Hearer is Almighty God so speak purposefully and not amiss for whatever you speak beloved will hit the bull’s eye! Now, to speak or NOT to speak is the question with a very simple answer – “Yes, by all means speak, BUT only according to His will!” The very word, “speak” is mentioned in scripture 513 times which is a great number that lets us know that speaking is something we must do. It should also serve as a reminder that what we say “When We Open Our Mouths” is of utmost importance for the Mark 11 states that if we believe we shall have whatsoever we say. We must understand that with a spoken Word is where it all started. In the beginning (Genesis 1) everything became only because God spoke 13xs. Had not God opened up His mouth & spoken none of us would even be here today!
Speaking God’s Word is actually a matter of living or dying according to (Prov 18:21) which says that death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Either way you look at it, both death & life are contingent upon our words. Are we killing our own fields with the words we allow to come out of our mouths or are we producing a harvest ripe with life & fruitfulness? You have been given power & authority through Jesus Christ to use the outer womb and birth canal better known as your mouth to say “I am, I can, I shall, It will, I decree & I declare!”
In closing here are 5 good reasons that it is imperative we each learn how to speak & to speak right: 1) the devil knows the word & what GOD has spoken over you, 2) prayer requires speaking & when we pray we need to be able to fight the devil with the word that proceeds out of our mouths, 3) your word has power & unlike fishing won’t allow you to just toss it back if it ain’t big enough (so be careful what you’re asking for), 4) you can silence the enemy within so that the enemy without can do you no harm, & 5) your victory & success are truly just one word away! So put fresh bait on your prayer rod, open up your mouth with God-fidence, and let the speaking begin! Selah.
