I watched a DVR episode of The Jeffersons during my coffee break today and it was hilarious! George asked his son, Lionel who is a a college student, how school was coming along. Lionel responded, "Great. If I keep it up, I'll probably end up on the Dean's list." George hollered out, "WHATTT! I thought I told you to stay out of trouble!" Lol... gotta love that George. Lionel explained what the Dean's really was, and of course George immediately went into the braggadocious mode he's known for.
The Word says that laughter and humor are good for us so if you get a chance, catch an episode of The Jeffersons and get your laugh on!
Ain't no need of wasting precious brain cells on mess & foolishness!
1. As a man THINKS in his heart so is he. Get your heart right!
2. Think about what you're THINKING about; make thoughts line up with the Word! If they don't, immediately terminate them!
3. THINK positive to attract positive outcomes! Universal law.
Many say that DESTINY is where you end up. I challenge that destiny is not necessarily where you end up. Rather, destiny is where you START for it is embedded in and assigned to you. The Father spoke to Jeremiah saying, "BEFORE I formed you in the womb, I knew you; BEFORE you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations (Jer 1: 4-5)."
Today as you navigate through your day, know that God is with you in whatever you may face, be it mountain top or valley low. Life's pendulum swings both ways, but God remains the same. Just as He was with Jeremiah... He is also with you. So go ahead on and walk that walk with your Called self. The Life -Giver and Master Healer has already provided everything you need for the journey. Selah.
3 Questions Concerning Christian Curb Appeal:
Whenever I've been on a search for a property to purchase, curb appeal has been a big draw for me due to my extremely visual nature. While watching an earlier episode of HGTV, I heard a lot about the importance of curb appeal. It's so crucial because it can either make or break a deal before a potential buyer ever even enters the home. I don't know about you but when house hunting I immediately know when I want to get out of the car to see more OR when I want to keep right on driving because the advertisement has been deceptive!
No matter if it involves ushering new souls into the kingdom, building new relationships, buying new homes or connecting with new business associates, the winning draws are the same. We must make very sure that we are attractive, approachable and accessible in our presentations. Human nature demands it as sight is such a powerful tool so let's be ready to deliver and seal the deal!
Now who in the world wouldn't like to be riding along and see a sign like this?! This is only an image but we need to prepare for it to be our reality in both the spiritual and the natural because it really can happen! As a matter of fact the possibilities are endless because it's the heart of God for your life according to 3 John 2: "Beloved, I WISH ABOVE ALL THINGS that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth."
So let's all remember that PROSPERITY is far more than just money... greenbacks... cold hard cash. It supersedes material possessions for it works from the inside out not the outside in. I want to define it as "Total life well-being that is rooted and grounded in Christ and His righteousness." Sounds much like Mathew 6:33 which advises: "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." In other words, whatever you want, God's got it. Wow! He's got it and doesn't mind releasing it, but we cannot bypass paying the required travel toll!
I do believe that you have it in you to indeed take the pre-ordained "Prosperity - NEXT EXIT" route so keep a check on these highway markers and you'll be fine:
1) Attitude - concerning the journey itself determines ALTITUDE
2) Accountability - concerning the handling of each instruction determines PROMOTION
3) Achievement - reaching the destination in spite of highway construction determines REWARDS
Blessns & Welcome to your next assigned exit called, "PROSPERITY!"
Jesus taught simply through parables. No parables today but check out these "Power Thoughts":
1) Be good to life and life will be good to you!
2) Movement inspires movement so get it together and do something!
3) Everything needed today will come by way of Divine Connection!
There is such beauty to be found in SIMPLICITY as it relates to everyday life. Teaching, learning and growing need not be so deep and spooky all the time! That's one of the reasons Joyce Meyer is so embraced worldwide. More importantly, it's a key to getting souls added to the kingdom. Selah.
Anybody remember Whodini's song, "The Freaks Come Out At Night?" Maybe your era played Wilson Pickett's crooning "Gonna wait til the midnight hour, that's when my love comes tumbling down." Lol! We know these songs referred to people getting ready to get their club and their "hustle" on but that's not my perspective tonight.
What comes to my mind is that MIDNIGHT ain't always a bad or negative time frame that only yields foolishness! It can actually be a wonderfully blessed time for the children of God. I don't hear Whodini and I don't hear Wilson Pickett but I do I hear Fred Hammond belting out: "LATE IN THE MIDNIGHT HOUR, GOD'S GONNA TURN IT AROUND! It's GONNA WORK IN YOUR FAVOR!"
A very familiar passage of scripture supports this in Acts 16: That it was at MIDNIGHT that Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed. And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled. But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here. Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.
A word to the weary: "LATE IN THE MIDNIGHT HOUR, GOD'S GONNA TURN IT AROUND! It's GONNA WORK IN YOUR FAVOR!" Watch the evidence of the day show how God worked for you at midnight. Selah.
“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.” - Harriet Tubman
I submit to you that this year is a year for DREAMS coming true like never before. As a matter of fact it has already started for those who have 1) allowed yourself to dare to believe again and, 2) have put movement to your reaffirmed belief.
Many years ago I was blessed to "star" as Harriet Tubman in an awesome production by Pastor Jacqueline Shaw. It was a dream come true because I had always admired this great woman, this female Moses, of uncommon faith & favor. A few of her most memorable quotes are:
As a child Harriet was beaten by masters to whom she was hired out. Early in her life, she suffered a severe head wound when hit by a heavy metal weight. The injury caused disabling seizures, narcoleptic attacks, headaches, and powerful visionary and dream experiences throughout her life, but guess what? She REFUSED to allow any of these things to deter her from her assignment to fulfill the visions/dreams implanted and entrusted within her by God. She realized it was not about her anyway, but about the souls assigned to her and as a result, God made it all work for her good!
Had she spoken to the slaves in our modern day language, I imagine she would have said: "HONEY, GET LIFTED!" She understood that the dream of freedom could become reality if the slaves would only put it into action under the protective covering of darkness. Long before R. Kelly made "I Believe I Can Fly" a national motivational anthem, Harriet Tubman had literally walked it out.
The same God that led her successfully through so many dangers, toils and snares is yet leading you today so in closing I simply admonish you to think bigger, wider and wilder (outside the box). Dust that dream off, get the mind of God concerning what safe route to take & "GET LIFTED!"
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. - (Isaiah 55:8-9)
Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails (Prov 19:21). Just yesterday I determined NOT to create any TO-DO-LISTS of goals or resolutions. This was highly unusual for me but I felt SURE that I was not to do it as I always have. After the new year came in I understood why because the Lord spoke the need for me to rather create "VOWS." What a revelation for there is incredible difference between goals, plans or even resolutions and a VOW! God has encouraged me to GO ANOTHER LEVEL... DEEPER this year than ever before and this requires my placing a demand of the super upon the natural like never before. I make goals, plans and resolutions with the intention to succeed, but the truth is I might succeed; I might not. But when I make my VOW to the Lord I have the wind of the Spirit backing me; propelling my sails FORWARD knowing that this is not casual for me, but covenant.
(Deut 23:21) says: “When you make a vow to the Lord your God, you shall not delay to pay it; for the Lord your God will surely require it of you, and it would be sin to you." Obedience is better than sacrifice and I CANNOT, I REFUSE to sacrifice my destiny due to sinning by not keeping my vow(s).
I serve a covenant-keeping God and when I cut covenant with Him, that's a covenant to covenant connection and a MUCH MORE COMPELLING position to be in. Not only to begin or end a thing, but to check it off as utterly "COMPLETED!" Selah.
